This past weekend, The Wells Street Art Festival was my first outdoor art fair in Chicago. It was quite an adventure getting to my space and setting up my canopy and stuff. And at the end, taking everything down and packing up.

Not quite finished, yet. Trying something new: attempting to replicate bokeh using watercolor. Photography is in my background and influences my illustration work.
If you’re haven’t heard of #bokeh, it’s a photography term - a result of how out-of-focus objects appear (in this case, yellow lights) in a short depth of field. To achieve this effect when photographing depends on the ability and type of your camera lens (50 mm or 85 mm, for example).
Recently, Russia has been receiving lots of bad publicity about various things such as malfunctions at The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, anti-gay agendas, and its dealings with Ukraine. Evidence shows that it’s all Cupid’s fault.
As of this past Sunday, my project IllustrArticles has been running for 9 months. For fun, I put together a bunch of before and after sketches of some of the illustrations I’ve created for the site. The left side is the initial sketch of the idea. The right side is the completed illustration.
